I'm a HEAT guy and was thinking about doing the Bull Moose challenge. Is the water really cold up there? What do you think a first-timer should know about Mooseman? Good IMLP RR, btw.

Doug.. yeah, the water is cold but you get used to it pretty fast. I actually have a sleeveless wetsuit and it's not too bad.
Beautiful course and very hilly. Bull Moose was tough, my legs were shot the second day. The heat was pretty tough to deal with, so that was a factor but it should be doable.
The key thing with Mooseman is that you never know on conditions. It's been rainy and freezing and it's been brutally hot. Just be prepared for either and you'll have fun!
